2024 Lexus NX Intterior, Models, Redesign – For the 2024 Lexus NX, the strengths of the first-generation crossover have been bolstered, and the areas that need improvement have been addressed. The Toyota RAV4 Prime’s plug-in hybrid engine may be installed in the tiny luxury crossover for the first time. Interior upgrades such as the new Lexus Interface system give the NX an advantage over competitors such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, Audi Q5, and BMW X3.

The NX’s irritating Lexus infotainment system was updated. Base models continue to use an engine with a turbocharger, but the 350 model features a new four-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 273 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive NX 450h+ and NX 350h+ hybrid versions have more horsepower than their gasoline-powered counterparts.

The 2024 Lexus NX is the brand’s second-generation small luxury crossover, and it is an all-new vehicle. In spite of the fact that it doesn’t appear much different from the previous generation, it is a vastly upgraded vehicle. The new Lexus Interface system with a 14-inch touchscreen is one of the most important changes.

For the first time, Lexus Safety System 3.0+, which includes standard technologies including dynamic radar cruise control and incoming pedestrian recognition, has been included in this model. The new NX 350 boasts a 275-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, while the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid is expected to have a 36-mile all-electric range. Both models are new for 2019.

Interior

From the driver’s seat, the new NX’s improvements are more obvious than they are from the outside. In the driver-focused design, the central touchscreen is slanted slightly toward the driver. With the old touchpad gone, a more user-friendly 14-inch touchscreen has taken its place, and it’s a welcome change.

Fit and finish are excellent, as one would expect from a Lexus. There’s a high level of craftsmanship evident throughout the vehicle, from the seats to the dashboard. A 9.8-inch touchscreen, NuLuxe upholstery, and a driving mode selection are all included as standard equipment on the basic model. A panoramic view monitor, a panoramic glass roof, and a 10-inch head-up display may be added to the NX’s options list.

Engine

Both the previous and the new Lexus NX models have never been class leaders when it comes to performance. As we discovered on our test drive, it’s a far better bet than it was previously. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine in the entry-level NX 250 produces 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Only an eight-speed automatic gearbox may be used to drive this engine. New to the NX 350 is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque.

Compared to the previous year’s 2.0-liter turbo-four, which produced 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft, those are significant gains. The NX 350h is the first hybrid model in the series. It has a 2.5-liter inline-four paired with two high-torque electric drive motor-generators and a CVT. The new NX hybrid has 239 total system horsepower, a 20% improvement over the previous model. When necessary, the rear wheels are powered by a separate electric motor.
